Anything You Can Do... — a mixtape for summer 2013
Anything You Can Do...
Anything You Can Do

For my 8 Off 8th on June 24th, not only did I book eight bands with a strong female influence in the spirit of Murfreesboro's excellent Southern Girls Rock & Roll Camp, I also constructed a Spotify playlist of covers of songs originally recorded by men, as interpreted by women. Everything from Portuguese covers of The Magnetic Fields to punk interpretations of Marvin Gaye to Japanese punks Shonen Knife covering The Ramones. The ID3 tags are a mess right now, but the songs are still rad as hell.
